The SAM Design 2023 Year in Review

PHOTOS BY JANE BROKENSHIRE

It’s been an amazing year! Take a walk through some of our most cherished moments and standout highlights from Susan and the SAMily.

We added some amazing new projects to our portfolio this year, but one of our biggest accomplishments has been the launch of DWELL by sam, a collection of a curated collection of short-term stay experiences in Newfoundland & Labrador, designed, built, and loved by Susan Drover and the SAM team. Susan poured her heart and soul into Dvele, a Heritage Inn in St. John’s, aiming to deliver an elevated stay for cherished guests.

Our projects and team were featured in several magazines this year, including East Coast Living, The Maritime EDIT, and local publication PIE Magazine. Plus, the EDIT team went the extra mile, traveling to St. John’s to film an interview with Susan on the story of Dvele, “The Most Exciting New Inn in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.”

SAM IN THE MEDIA

SAM was named in the December Issue of House and Home Magazine on the H&H 100, an inaugural list of top design talent from coast to coast in Canada. Being selected as part of a list that features some of this country’s most admired, talented, and recognized names in interior design is no small feat, and we feel incredibly proud to have been included.

Cheers — we celebrated 11 years in business this September!

We had the pleasure of helping hundreds of happy clients curate spaces that enhance the way they live.

Our team headed out on dozens of professional field trips, including a visit to Highpoint Market, an inspirational trip to Iceland, and out-of-town project meetings.

Inspired by her trip to Iceland, Susan worked hard with the team to create our first-ever SAM Lookbook, The Paths We Travel.

This magazine-style book is filled with photos from her trip and moodboards that capture the essence of this beautiful country. If you haven’t seen it yet be sure to check it out and shop the look!

We launched a brand new website and enhanced shopping experience for our customers — and it keeps getting better!

We thank you again for an incredible year of design! We can’t wait to see what 2024 brings for the SAMily and our clients.

Warmest wishes,
